Coding Is For Girls Too
We need to encourage more young girls to explore computer science. If they've never coded before, they can try the field out for themselves in clubs or in introductory summer programs, such as those offered by Girls Who Code or Kode With Klossy. If they're already interested, they can grow their skills or learn a new language. Organizations like Built By Girls offer young women an insider view of STEM-related careers by matching them up with a professional already in the field. Hopefully, by sharing these programs and organizations, we can help close the gender gap in computer science!
